It looks like Studio Canal will finally bring Jean Renoir’s Grand Illusion to Blu-ray next month in France. As we’ve mentioned on the podcast many times, it seems as though Lionsgate has given up on their attempts to attract an arthouse audience with their Studio Canal Collection Blu-rays here in the states. Who knows when or if we’ll see those out of print Criterion titles return to the Collection, or find a new US distributor.
